The PLL offers Baseball, Softball and Challenger programs; our programs are offered programs in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Challenger baseball is an apadtive program designed for children with physical or mental disabilities.
Each season has its own registration period and fees.
Spring: Baseball and Softball programs are offered for boys and girls 4-to 16-years old; Challenger is offered for players 4 to 18 years old. Registration opens in mid-January. Practices and games start in mid/late April and run through the end of June. Baseball and Softball teams practice once a week and play 1-2 games per week throughout the season. Whenever possible teams will have a consistent practice and game schedule throughout the season (same day/time each week).
Summer: Baseball programs are offered for boys and girls 10-to 12-years-old; registration opens in mid-May. Practices start in late June; games begin in July and run through early August. Summer PLL teams participate in local house-level tournaments within Monroe County. Teams practice once a week and game schedules are set by tournament organizers.
Fall: Baseball and Softball programs are offered for boys and girls 4-to 16-years old. Registration opens in mid-August. Practices and games start the weekend after school begins and run through the end of October. Teams practice once a week and games are played on Saturday. Whenever possible teams will have a consistent practice and game schedule throughout the season (same day/time each week).
There are no cuts from PLL house-level programs. All age-eligible players residing in or attending school in Pittsford and East Rochester are invited to play. Families seeking a more competitive baseball or softball playing experience, should also consider our travel program.
