We are located in Pittsford, NY. We offer baseball and softball programs, in spring, summer, and fall for more than 700 players in Pittsford and East Rochester. We welcome players of all skill levels and abilities; we believe “if you want to play, you can play”. We also offer Challenger baseball, an adaptive program for children with physical or intellectual disabilities.
At its core, the PLL experience is about establishing lifelong memories, creating a sense of pride in our community, and an environment where friends and classmates play with and against each other for good-natured bragging rights.
Through the game, players learn life lessons in leadership, perseverance, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Given the current global health crisis, the PLL also provides children with safe outlets - outlets to socialize and vent their frustrations, outlets to get exercise and feel accomplishment, outlets to be with friends and feel normal and outlets to experience new things and break-up routines.
Since inception, two PLL players have gone on to play Major League baseball – simply put, we’re very proud of them and equally proud when our players go on to do great things in something other than baseball or softball.
At all games on Saturday, we will be collecting non-perishable food items for Thanksgiving. Items will be donated to the Pittsford Food Cupboard who serve the needs of Pittsford, Mendon, Honeoye Falls, Brighton, East Rochester, and some areas in the city of Rochester.
Collection bins will be set up from 9:00am to 3:30pm at the following locations:
Ford Field, 198 South St, Pittsford
Habecker Fields, 34 East St, Pittsford
Thornell Farm Park, 480 Mendon Rd, Pittsford
Farm View Park, 1899 Calkins Rd, Pittsford
Hopkins Park, 5 Barker Rd, Pittsford
Needed seasonal items are stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, cream of mushroom soup, canned corn, canned sweet potatoes, French-fried onions, gravy, and pie filling.
Other needed items are coffee, personal items (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), cleaning supplies, and tomato products (whole, crushed, or puree).
At present, the Food Cupboard does not have room for pasta, spaghetti sauce, green beans, tuna, or peanut butter.
By all accounts, everyone who participated in our Sandlot Fun Day on October 10th had a great time. Many thanks to our adult volunteers who were on hand to support this program.
Sandlot Fun Days provide kids the opportunity to play ball with their friends on PLL fields in a self-directed and unstructured manner - without coaches but with adult supervision. Players choose teams, set the lineups, and officiate the game.
To deter ongoing vandalism at our Ford Field complex, the league has completed the installation of outdoor lighting and a security/surveillance system. While we would prefer to direct our resources towards improving the on-field playing experience for our players and families, this purchase became necessary given the severity of the matter.
We’re thankful for the assistance from Village/Town officials and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office who will help us monitor our fields.
We're very excited to share that T-Mobile will again be supporting the Pittsford Little League for our 2021 season. T-Mobile has added more towers, more engineers and more coverage than before so NO matter where our Little Leaguers live, T-Mobile works to keep us competitive and connected. Thanks T-Mobile for being our official wireless sponsor!
