We are located in Pittsford, NY. We offer baseball and softball programs, in spring, summer, and fall for more than 700 players in Pittsford and East Rochester. We welcome players of all skill levels and abilities; we believe “if you want to play, you can play”. We also offer Challenger baseball, an adaptive program for children with physical or intellectual disabilities.

At its core, the PLL experience is about establishing lifelong memories, creating a sense of pride in our community, and an environment where friends and classmates play with and against each other for good-natured bragging rights.

Through the game, players learn life lessons in leadership, perseverance, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Given the current global health crisis, the PLL also provides children with safe outlets - outlets to socialize and vent their frustrations, outlets to get exercise and feel accomplishment, outlets to be with friends and feel normal and outlets to experience new things and break-up routines.

Since inception, two PLL players have gone on to play Major League baseball – simply put, we’re very proud of them and equally proud when our players go on to do great things in something other than baseball or softball.

PLL Parade

The PLL End of Season Parade will be on Saturday, June 26th at 10:00 am. Our parade will begin at Sutherland High School and march through the Village of Pittsford to the Ford Field complex on South Street.  We will be escorted by a Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department rescue vehicle, and the parade will be led by the Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department Marching Band. We invite all of our players (in uniform w/ hats and baseball/softball pants) and coaches to participate. Parents are also welcome to walk in the parade, and for our younger players, it’s encouraged.

Planning this year’s parade has been challenging. Despite the effort, we have been intent on upholding this PLL tradition and feel it’s a fitting way to cap off a great season of Little League baseball and softball in the Pittsford Community. As an organization, we’re grateful for the support we have gotten from our community partners; this includes the Village of Pittsford, the Town of Pittsford, the Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and our local public health officials.

Details to follow.

SUMMER BASEBALL

Summer PLL teams participate in local tournaments (low to moderately competitive) and play against teams from local Little Leagues (Brighton, Penfield, Fairport, Greece, Webster, etc.).

For 2021, summer tournament hosts are:

  • 7-8 years old: Fairport Little League
  • 9-10 years old: Greece Little League
  • 11-12 years old: Webster Little League

While some games may be played in Pittsford, it should be expected that participation requires travel to the host site. Play begins after the July 4th holiday and runs throughout the month of July into early August. Teams play games on weeknights and weekends and teams will typically practice once a week - once we have the tournament schedules/other details from each host, they will be posted.

We understand that families go on vacation in the month of July. It is our intent to maximize the playing experience and to the extent possible co-exist with family activities. The availability chart in the registration form will help with team balance and selection.

Players who meet age and residency requirements and who are not participating in Little League District 4 events can take part in summer baseball - participation in spring baseball is not a requirement for the summer program. (Note: For 7-8 year old’s the game format is Machine Pitch; player-pitch for all other levels.)

Please follow this link to register.
